Launch of the first VHT/VIG pilot projects in the United States under the auspices of The CARLISLE Foundation.
1996-1998
Training of the first US SPIN trainers by Dutch master trainers in Massachusetts, Kentucky and New York.
1998

Launch of multiple training programs at Para Los Niños (PLN), a
non-profit community-based child welfare agency in Los Angeles.

PLN is the first licensed training center in the United States. SPIN provides family preservation training, educational leadership & teacher training, staff development & management coaching.

2000
SPIN®USA, Inc. is incorporated as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation with seed money from the CARLISLE Foundation.
2003

Publication of the first US research results by Dr. Libby Zimmerman et. al.

Launch of facilitation training program for Team Decision Making meetings in four California county child welfare departments with funding from The Stuart Foundation.

SPIN®USA consults to Early Head Start Project, Connecticut through the Zero to Three Initiative.
2004
With additional funding by the Stuart Foundation, and in cooperation with the Annie E. Casey Foundation. SPIN®USA expands child welfare training programs in California.
