SPIN®
USA
STAFF
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
We
offer two types of staff training:
- The
Staff training & Development (core) course
- The
Facilitator training course
|
Both
trainings can be tailored as direct or train-the-trainer programs. In the
train-the-trainer-program, SPIN®USA helps build your organization’s
internal training capacity by training and certifying one or more key staff
to use this powerful tool to strengthen performance at every level of the
organization including their own performance.
STAFF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Program
Managers and supervisors use SPIN Video Interaction Guidance to coach
staff at all levels.
BUILDING
THE PROGRAM AT YOUR SITE

FACILITATION TRAINING
Facilitation training provides facilitators the essential
skills to successfully lead positive and effective meetings with a diverse
group of stakeholders. These may include meetings such as Team Decision
Making meetings (TDMs), Family Group Conferencing meetings (FGC) or Multi
Disciplinary Assessment Team meetings (MDATs).
WHO COACHES FACILITATORS?
SPIN trainers directly train staff who facilitate a range of meetings.
SPIN can also build in-house training capacity. In the train-the-trainer
program, SPIN USA trains staff supervisors and statewide trainers to become
certified to deliver SPIN Video Interaction Guidance training to facilitators
who lead and staff (case workers, supervisors, …) who participate
in facilitation meetings.
HOW SPIN COACHES USE THE BASIC CYCLE WITH FACILITATORS
| Taping
|
Make
a short 10 minute video of actual facilitation meetings. |
| Analysis
|
Analyze
and edit the video to target the team building, consensus decision-making,
in-depth discussion and conflict management skills that are most
effective in achieving the meeting goals and mission as set out
by the team. Plan for the feedback session with the facilitator.
In
the direct training, the analysis is done by the SPIN trainer.
In the train-the-trainer program, the internal trainer is trained
to do the analysis and provide the feedback.
